Simple question? do you like Starbucks?
Please feel free to add whatever coffee you like :)
and before anyone questions my sanity,
I have a very special connection to Starbucks, which I share with Bloody_Queen..

No one beats Starbuck's Cafe Mochas! Nobody!

But, regular coffee? Dunkin Donuts is my favorite for that.

Whether politically correct or not, I LOVE Starbucks. Our Starbucks across from my house is closing which made me really sad. It was one of the ones that got caught up in all the closings. But there's a few more within two miles so I can still find one. :)

Oooh I'm drooling now...LOL My car has this magnet in it that will not let me pass a Starbucks without pulling in! I love their frappacinos. And the yummy baked goods they have....OMG  ;D

I like Starbucks, but I sometimes think they're overpriced. There's a local place around here called Hyperion. It's absolutely delicious! When I used to go to school in that town, every Friday morning my mom and I would stop by and get an iced mocha [it came with teeny chocolate chunks and whipped cream] and a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. I'm addicted! But sadly I can't make it there all that often.  :-\

I, personally, don't see what all the hype is surrounding their beverages. Granted, the ones I have tried (at someone else's expense...I'm sure not paying that much for coffee when that amount could get me a gallon of gas) are pretty good. However, there's no way I could honestly say that they have the best coffee I've ever tasted.

There are a few places around that are either as good or better and their prices are at least a little lower, if not considerably.

But that's just my 1/2 a cent, after taxes, inflation and child support.  ;D

LOL Thanks for your humorous input Sebastian. Good idea with the vest, I'm sure you'll need it. I have a hunch some of us are more faithful Starbucks fans than others.  :lol:

Starbucks is disgustingly unhealthy. One drink contains all the calories my body needs in an entire day. Their beverages used to be decent, but they've done down the shoot as the prices went to the elevator. ><

My one and only Starbucks experience involved a rather burnt-tasting brew that just made me feel agitated rather than awake.

My morning attitude adjustment usually comes in the form of a generic yet effective potion found at my local convenience store. Sinful, I know.

I am not too fond of Starbucks. I much prefer the Mocah JavaKula from Seattle's Best. Their coffee is okay,it's much too high for my tastes.

As much as I love Starbucks... I must say that Cafe Du Monde is the best coffee on earth  ;D

I can stand starbucks, but I prefer McDonald's ice coffee lol

Don't worry Wilhelm, I do the same thing. I can't see spending $5.00 on a cup of coffee! lol  I do enjoy their Frappachinos though from time to time.

Don`t get me wrong, I do make my own coffee aswell, and I see that as a natural thing, still Starbucks in my eyes make damn good coffee ;)
I actually have four machines to make coffee at home, one for espresso, two for lattes and macchiatos and all that stuff, and one for filter coffee..
Maybe I have an addiction ;)

When it comes to regular coffee and one of my favorites, I love going to Denney's. I think they have the best coffee for a family oriented restaurant.

Capitol statement Wilhelm! My Swedish ancestors would stand up and cheer at that. I swear that's all any of them ever did together was make and drink gallons of coffee.

I make a pot everyday when I get home, I just have to buy coffee on the way to work. I don't have a fancy timed coffee pot. With my staying up all night I wake up a mess and getting ready is a challenge, I couldn't think of actually having time to make coffee.
Don't worry Dinaer.... I have a serious caffine addiction. I have about 5 cups a day. If I'm really dead I'll have a redbull too.  :yesnod:

I find every blend of their coffee to taste like it is burnt.  Additionally, I find every blend of their coffee to be too highly acidic.  (just my personal experience)

I prefer real Kona coffee or Blue Mountain coffee. Both are low acid and very palatable.

I can make coffee at home that doesn't taste like the bottom of an ashtray.
Personally I haven't drank any Starbucks coffee since they refused a request to our troops over seas who asked them to send just plain ground coffee. They refused to send them anything because, and I quote, "Starbucks doesn't support the war in Iraq."
Which was quite sad since the troops weren't asking them to support the war, they just wanted coffee. Despicable.

I like Starbucks coffee, but, ironically, I find the local stands to have more taste and a better price.

I did kind of like their release of the Pike Place roast, seemed like they wanted to incorporate their roots more. But I think they need to localize their coffee. Not every kind of coffee is going to work in every city, and I am finding more and more Seattlelites that prefer local blends over the once-local corporation.

That's really weird, the Starbucks in a mall near me was actually asking each patron that came in if they'd like to purchase a pound of ground coffee for the troops.

I have to say negative. Starbucks is okay but its not my thing. I personally prefer a good soy monster Java.

Well personally, I think the coffee is crap, its over roasted half the time, the only coffee's that I truly enjoy are arabian mocha sannani which is 16.75 a lb and gonna become a seasonal item soon (so stock up if you like it) organic shade grown mexico which is great on the mornings since its very lively, Ethiopia Sidamo which is also gonna become seasonal soon so stock up, and gold cost which reminds me of maple syrup yummm!!!!!!  other than that I don't really like the espresso beverages as the mastrena machines are a huge steaming POS, and not only that, but the espresso roast that they use is 9 out of 10 times over roasted (go figure, "the starbucks roast" lol) and when pulled through the crap machine you get 2 shots which are best if used for baking than drinking........  not only that but the customers are ever so rude to us, saturday my friend had a zucchini loaf thrown at her from a customer in the drive thru cause her frappuccino wasn't filled to the brim, which we do as a courtesy so it doesn't spill over in the car...........

Other than that I generally go to a local cafe, cause they have more African beans than the Bux which only has 3 (africa/arabia is my preferred growing region) and not only that they use a rancilio so they're espresso doesn't taste like crap (they make the perfect espresso machiatto!!!)  oh and the owner, not only roasts his coffee every morning, but he actually knows how to roast coffee unlike those huge industrial dumb computer controlled ones that the Bux uses, but hey I can't really complain can I?  I get free coffee every week and considering that I drink it as much I should water (literally) it saves me money in the long run :D so cheers!!!!!!

Like I said, the Seattlelites have become rather inundated with Starbucks and are kind of tired of it. We still drink it, of course, but when it costs me over $4 for a white chocolate mocha at Starbucks, 16oz. and for $4 at smaller, local places, I can get a Hershey's and white chocolate mocha with two extra shots and still have enough to tip the barista. . .uh, yeah, I prefer the local stuff.

Do I like Starbucks? *sniff* I feel insulted  :'(, lol yeah I like Starbucks though the last time I went my ex and her friend made a mess of the table we were at and we had to make a hasty exit...I didn't spill a drop of coffee ;D though I can't say the same for the others.

The place is pretty cool to hang out in where I'm located and the service is good and don't get me started on the cake.  :o lol.

I almost feel as though I shouldn't be answering this! I just applied at Biggby aka ex-Beaners. Although, Starbucks is good, I have been spoiled on Tim Horton's.

Here in Australia, we have places called Muffin Break...The best coffee ever!! Yummy!!

We had a sandwich shop called the Muffin Break. . . it's now "The Mexican Restaurant"

I love Starbucks Vanilla Chai.
They don't have Boba Tea (sweet tea with tapioca balls in syrup at the bottom). LOL If anyone is in Harvard Square (the home of Harvard University) in Cambridge, MA then go to TeaLuxe. Mmmmmmmmmm. lol
Starbucks is always good though. ;-)

  Starbucks is definitely the best coffee out there. I know a lot of people complain about it being a dominating corporation in the industry, but all in all they put out a great product and generally their employees are quite friendly to everyone.

Most people seem to boycott Starbucks simply because it's so commercial...Erych and I, however, love it and have more often than not found the coffee good, the memories golden and the service just fine. I'm also speaking as a former beginning level barista.  :)

Well, Starbucks abstinences much hmm? ;) thought I brush the dust of this one, since we have alot of new members!

On the only occasion I went to Starbucks I found the servers were rude, the product was not much better than Folgers, and the time taken to complete the transaction and serve me was horrible.


I can't believe I had to wait over 10 minutes for them to pour me a cup of coffee, let alone 5 minutes to order it. The cost was outrageous as well. I have no problem with how corporately driven they are, but I will not visit there again.

Seriously, how much would you pay for coffee that you spat out, and threw away?

I saw on the news that McDonald's was starting to offer lattes, cappucinos, iced coffees, etc like Starbucks. They also put up a billboard somewhere on the west coast saying something like "Paying four bucks is dumb"..referring to Starbucks large (venti) coffee price. So I went to McDonald's last weekend to give it a chance. Their's was very weak flavored, nowhere near the quality of Starbucks, in my opinion. And a large was nearly $4.00, so not sure why they did that billboard. Maybe they will improve with time. But for me, for now, can't beat Starbucks.:)

Im no coffee drinker but I enjoy their hot chocolate very much.

But after one "tall" drink, Im good for a while. Anything larger and I get a tummy ache. XD

I agree though, I make my own coffee, or rather my dad makes coffee and I drink it sometimes. MMmmmm. Jamaica Blue Mountain ordered directly from a Jamaican roaster every morning that I get up early enough.
