I play bass for a blues band.  We are meshing fast and should be gigging around Tucson AZ within a month!

I'm re-discovering my roots in the blues.

The whole Amy's Arms thing was a lot of fun, apart from the silliness that went along with it. But honestly, I miss the feel of being on a stage and feeling the other instruments moving the vibrations around me. You still can't beat the feeling of standing beside a drummer and feeling the air move around you.
So, to that end, I'm in the process of putting together a house band of blues all-star players here in Toronto, and I'll be hosting a monthly, maybe twice-monthly night at a wonderful rehearsal/recording/concert complex called DC Music. (The same place I give monthly Reiki seminars for performers of all types.) As you can likely tell by all the references, yes, it will be a Blues night, leaning toward Chicago and Delta style, and you can be sure the odd guitar-slinger will show up to do some
Stevie Ray sooner or later.

And once that is off the ground, I'm hoping to turn it into an educational series with older, seasoned musicians coming in to pass on a little of their know-how to the up and coming players. After that, who knows? Mayhaps an exchange program of sorts with another Blues Foundation somewhere.

Anything is possible.
Don't forget that.

The big kick off date is September 13th, a Saturday night here in Olde Yorke.
And for those of you who know me personally, I would hope to see you there.
The date has another significance that I think you might recognize.

*Ahem. Sister Nyboria, do you have gas in the chariot? A weekend in Toronto? Also dear Sister, level 2 awaits...*

I have the feeling this is going to be a lot of work, but definitely worth the trouble
It's going to be worth it in the long run.

Keepin' the blues alive the best that I can,

I'm currently getting to grips with Guitar Pro, Fruity Loops and Audacity. In the near future, I'm hoping to procure a drum-kit from somewhere, and bosh around on that until it sounds near acceptable :P

Something that I've had going around in my head for a coupla days:

I'm currently writing a few different stories. Sadly, I haven't written that much lately.

Also, I am writing lyrics/music for my first spoken word album.

I do my musical project Willhelm Angel. My music is dark ambient/electronica genre. However I only published two of my all compositions. Well if I have a time I will make other compositions and publish next of my compositions.

I'm a singer, and I don't have a band.
I had once, a symphonic black, but we split because of the conflict between bass player and the drummer  tongue The bass player was also a vocal, but we never sang together in one song. I know it seems weird, but somehow, his voice was too brutal comparing to my soprano. And we played only our own stuff - we never actually made a cover of another band. I was also a lyric-writer, and it seems I'm good at it.
I almost gave up on singing, but if an opportunity comes, I'll gladly take it. My vocal cords just can't stop itching  Wink

How should I explain my voice? Um... I can't. I just know that when people listen me sing, they focus solely on that. And ask for more.  Roll Eyes Blush

My brother and I are doing some composing from time to time, but just out of our whim. He's playing acoustic guitar (now he bought an electric). If we make something worth of sharing (a cover or something), I'll upload it and post a link here. I'd be glad to know your opinion.

~Keep on creating...~

I'm a drummer and currently have two bands playing, first one is Next Exit and the other one is like a side project, the guitarist of Next exit has a girlfriend that has been bothering us to play so we decided to go ahead.

we're working on some new material and covers for an upcoming gig, pretty much it really... I'll post a link to both myspaces at one point.

I'm currently brushing up on my mixing/producing/software skills, and have done a couple more songs.

First is a drone/ambient song inspired by Richard by Sunn O)))

Second is a partial cover of Earth Day by Devin Townsend

I'm in an original play in Portland at the moment. I'm playing a character called Ada.

It runs this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as well as the same days next week at 8 pm.

If anyone is around Portland (Oregon) you should come check it out:
