Darkness Embraced Vampire and Occult Society is a privately owned and operated community site. Membership to this community is one of privilege and is based solely and exclusively upon the member's conduct and the ability to follow all policies set forth on Darkness Embraced. The administration of Darkness Embraced has facilitated a three strike policy. However, depending on the severity of the infraction, we reserve the right to forfeit the three strike policy and immediately revoke membership. All members agree to abide by these policies upon registration and are bound to them through out the course of their membership. The administration team will not tolerate insubordination or protests from any member regarding set policies.

Darkness Embraced encompasses all who are Vampire, Therian, Otherkin, Witch, Pagan, and Spiritualist that share similarities with our community vision. We are open to those who are merely curious seekers or lovers of myth, lore, superstition, history, and the supernatural. It is our belief that although we may be diverse in some aspects, we are very parallel in others. We are above the politics of the various communities and do not welcome it in within our midst. Titles that one may hold elsewhere do not warrant reverence within our realm. Here, everyone is equal. No one is above or beneath the other. We will not tolerate any arrogance or belittling to any assembly within our midst. Humility is required, for without it, we lose the ability to grow into spiritual transcendence. In many instances at Darkness Embraced, you will find that the teacher becomes the student, and the student becomes the teacher. Without humility, this wouldn't be possible.

Maturity, courteousness, humility, nobleness and respect for all living things are expected traits from every member. We will not tolerate arrogance, hatred, bigotry, sexual perversions, sexual predators, criminal intent or any behavior that condones harm to one's self, other people, or animals. Any member found sexually preying upon minors or making it well known of their intentions to endanger another person, one's self, or animal will be reported to the proper authorities. We will fully cooperate with any local/state/government investigation that may arise from the report or reports from other outside sources. Please keep this in mind at all times. It applies to all areas that rest within this domain.

Darkness Embraced encourages social activity amongst our members. We love to see close relationships develop within our midst. However, we forbid any member to abuse it. This place is a virtual home and sanctuary for many of us. We are not a back alley prostitution or pimping station, a pick up joint to find your next romp between the sheets, a dating service, or a people show. Do not “cat call” or bring discomfort to any of our members by sexually harassing them. We expect Ladies to be ladies and men to be gentlemen here. Do not act as if you were born and reared up in a whore house with ill manners or speak to others as if they were as well. We also ask that you watch the vulgar language on Darkness Embraced and refrain from using it obsessively. 

Darkness Embraced does not permit uploads, posts, links, avatars or photos that advocate illegal substances, pornography, 18+ models, cam whores, warez, hacks, cracks, or hate sites.


* In order to maintain the table structure and layout of the site, members can not exceed 21 letters, numbers, or spaces within their chosen user name. User names can not contain any character maps, sTiCkY cApS, or extreme sexual deviancy.

* Only one account per person is allowed on Darkness Embraced. If you are already a member and you have lost your password, please use the "Lost Password" option or contact an administrator to help you. Any member found with multiple accounts will be deleted or the new registered account will be rejected.

* Registrant's email must be an established email address. We will not approve registrants with brand new email addresses.

* Member must supply a valid age at all times.

* Member's preoccupation with any sexual endeavors or sexual preference is not to be disclosed on profiles or anywhere on the site. As mentioned, this is not a dating service. What you do in your bedroom is your business and should be kept there.

* Member must supply a valid email. Upon registration completion, members will receive an email with a link to click on to activate their account on Darkness Embraced. If you do not proceed with this step, your account can not be processed. Please know that your email address is safe with us. We do not sale or share your email address with any third parties. Also, please check your bulk folder for your account activation email if you haven't received it within 20 minutes of registration. There is a great possibility that your email service misdirected it to that folder. Registrants that do not validate their membership within 72 hours (3 days) will be removed from the database. If this occurs, the registrant will have to fill out the membership form again.


All members have a right to their own views involving world politics, the war, and political parties. However, due to the sensitive nature and passion that drives those varying opinions, it could ignite the passion of someone who opposes just as strongly and possibly offend a great deal of members and result into bickering and discontent. You must remember that not everyone thinks or feels like you or share in your vision. Taking this in consideration, out of fairness to all members and their comfort levels, political commentary is not permitted on Darkness Embraced. Political posts will be deleted. Please seek out the numerous political forums on the net to voice your opinions.


Do not bring your personal qualms or arguments regarding any figure or group to our society's doorstep. We are not interested in becoming involved in any personal conflicts that you may have with those in the vampire, otherkin, therian, or occult community. Darkness Embraced will not serve as a battle ground for any outside influences. This does not mean that we are not concerned or without care of our subculture. We do permit individuals to voice genuine concerns that pertain to our communities, but it must be done with grace and tact. So how does one achieve this? Do not name the actual name of the figure or group (Exception to those who have already been criminally charged and named in the media).  Use a pseudonym instead. Do not resort to name calling. Be precise and calm with your presentation. Voice what you would like to see changed. And finally, offer possible solutions.


Both Sanguine and Psychic/Psi Vampires (and their sub-variants) are a harmonious part of Darkness Embraced. However, we do not accept any dangerous or unethical practices (See general overview at the top of this page), or permit posts anywhere on DE from those who are under the mythical persuasion. Those who exhibit this form of dysfunction jeopardize the safety of all members. This creates a great liability to the site owner and administration staff of Darkness Embraced. As a result, this may very well warrant an immediate revocation of membership privileges.

Some Prime Examples:

1. Physical Immortality – Belief or claim to immortality of the flesh.
2. Turned/Sired/Embraced – Belief or claim that anyone can be become a vampire by the vices of being bitten by a vampire or drinking the blood of another vampire.
3. Mythical Trait Associations – Claims of annihilation from exposure to sunlight, garlic, holy water, crucifixes. Ancestral claims of vampirism to legendary, fictional, or mythological characters as depicted in movies, books and folklore. Physical claims of eyes changing to glowing red, growing wings from one’s back, elongated fangs that grow out, etc.
4. Vampire Vs. Lycan/Vamp Vs. Vamp Wars - This is White-Wolf RPG/Underworld based and has no substance in the real vampire community. Yes, there are groups out there that nit pick back and forth amongst themselves, but it should never be given any credence as a war.
5. Clans - Any reference to vampire clans such as Assamites • Baali • Brujah • Caitiff • Cappadocian (V:DA) • Daughters of Cacophony (V:TM) • Followers of Set • Gangrel • Giovanni (V:TM) • Harbingers of Skulls (V:TM) • Kiasyd • Lasombra • Malkavian • Nosferatu • Ravnos • Salubri • Samedi (V:TM) • Toreador • Tremere • Tzimisce • Ventrue. These are all white wolf rpg related and are not a part of the real vampire community.
6. Biting/Attacking - Violent acts of attack on any human/animal for the consumption of blood. Piercing of the flesh via the mouth or use of fangs. Attacking anyone in this fashion is clearly assault. Biting people with your mouth is an almost guaranteed infection/transmission of disease for you and your donor. Not to mention how painful it is and the scars it permanently leaves behind. This is completely unethical.
7. Cults - Promotion of any cult or cult like mentality.

Any member who is found making attempts to harvest or make contact with any member through Darkness Embraced services with any of the aforementioned, will lose all membership privileges immediately. Any adult member found contacting minors on this site with sexual commentary, request sexual/blood exchange, secret meet-ups, will not only face termination on this site, but reported to the proper law authorities as well.

Bloodletting - Due to the liability that this subject can bring, we require that all bloodletting topics be confined to the vampire inner sanctum.


We were once staffed with administration to moderate this area, but due to a decrease we were forced to close this section. My apologies to all.


Darkness Embraced does not permit the posting of creative writings; short stories, novels or poetry. If you would like to share your authored works with others, you may post an off site link. This protects Darkness Embraced from the claims of liability that may ensue as a result of unauthorized use of works stemming from our member base.


All members of Darkness Embraced are required to participate in formal English.  No exceptions! We do not accept chat speak, leet speak, internet shorthand, text speech, creative style, Old world, Shakespearian or any other method of untranslatable writing. If English is not your native language, please let us know so that we can assist you.

In addition, the following is also required:

- Capitalize the beginning of every sentence.
- Capitalize proper nouns. Proper nouns (also called proper names) are the words which name specific people, organizations, or places. They always start with a capital letter. I is always capitalized. Example: I am very tired.
- After ending a sentence, space before you begin a new one. Example:
Incorrect: I am very tired.I believe I will retire for the evening.good night.
Correct: I am very tired. I believe I will retire for the evening. Good night.

We require all members to proof read and spell check their own work. There really is no excuse, especially in the forums. There is a spell checker provided in the "Additional Options".  Typos can and do occur with even the most vigilant. We will not scorn you for one here or there. However, if over 40% of your commentary consists of errors and typos, we will remove it, copy and paste it in a private message to you, and ask that you make the corrections and submit it again. If it is a situation that becomes one of habit, the administration team will cease all courtesies in contacting you with needed corrections on a post. It will just be deleted.
