Well I can safely assume the reason they did it was they were insane. There is no reason to kill a person. If you mean perhaps they were vampyres..they weren't. They're just people who give a bad name to vampyres. It's sad, but there are crazy people out there and this is a good example why everyone should use care in who they give any information to.
