I really don`t care too know the time of my death.
That just brings me closer to that high plain. I have always wanted to go home and be where I belong with those loved ones are waiting for me. I don`t see me in hell
not sure if I had pleased the gods to ascend to heaven
Who knows I might came back on earth to continue learning more.

Well I guess it really didn't matter on the time or when it happens. If when it happens I probably be on the job or at least knowing that I've tried saving someone's life. Not sure where I'll end up going to afterward only just that I would by with a couple of Olymapions (Greek gods and one of the Goddess's) along with true famly.

Yes, so I could have everything totally in order, especially at my apartment. I am getting older and have been in and out of the hospital a lot this year and it would be nice not to leave so much for someone to sort through.

No I wouldnt want to know, I've come to close before.... Life is short enough without having another something to worry about..... I enjoy my life the way I should, and live ie accordingly.... If I fullfill whatever I was made to full fill, then good; if not at least I can say I still had a good life.

I would not want to know. I simply enjoy every day that is given me and I believe that if you would know the date you're going to pass away you'll just tend to rush things and make mistakes if that makes any sense.

I would want to know so long as the time was exact down to the very second and the how was something fast without much suffering. I wouldn't want to know if I was in for years of dieing slowly by some terminal disease or anything.
I would be the type to take more risks if I knew. Also, some people might want to know so they can plan for that day and have their affairs in order. As for myself, plans that I make tend to fall through last minute anyway. So, knowing would just give more of a reason to be the spontaneous type of person that I am.

I would have to agree with Larae on this one. Maybe if you knew about how many years you had left you might try to go out and do more. Knowing exactly down to the minute would drive me mad. Somethings are just better to be unknown.

Having nearly died on a couple of occasions in my lifetime, and once by my own folly, I'd say that I'd prefer to know in advance... providing of course that it isn't some medical conjecture but is an absolute known... and assuming that it isn't minutes/seconds prior to some collision impact.
And one other caveat I'd prefer is that I'd have some control over my pain and state of awareness via powerful drugs while in death throes.
So in advance knowledge I'd have liberty to do as I freek'in well please, because hey, I'm about to die... sue me! (LOL) (but that would not give me license to commit murder or assault )

I have mixed feelings on this..
In a way I would want to know that way I could try and do everything I've wanted to do.
But in another way I don't want to know because I know thats the day when I leave all my loved ones...
So I would have to say I'm in the middle on this one...

My perception on the subject is somewhat askew from the norm. I think we already know from the time we are born that we are going to die. From our first breath it is literally a countdown to the last. Living life this way has given me an intensity for gaining the full measure from life. I try really hard to experience new things and express my feelings to those around me knowing that regret for things left unsaid and undone is very hard to live with.

To comment on your post because it seems like a fun mini-topic, I wonder if people are more afraid of being dead or just going through the act of dying. There is so much to do in life so to be able to experience all that one would want in life is definitely desirable, but growing old and feeble and slowly dying sounds terrible.
For me, I do not care how old of feeble (except if my body is damaged) but getting old is part of life (otherwise I would kill myself right now at 31 years old physically and biologically I'm getting old since I was 25!!!!
To live the longest suites me fine !!!! being an old and wise man can be fun too (if you are in good health...)
My grand dad was kinda like that, he passed away at 93, was very very active till 90, even more than me when I was 25! I'm not kidding. and I'm not inactive and feeble. I'm not an athlete but not a worm either...
All depend on your point of view about either life and death really. death is not something I long to experience any time soon, but it is not something I fears either.
so knowing when I die will not make my living day any better or worse.
Not knowing is a bit like paranoia... (a plot to distract you from living you life fully)
And I'm sure you can decide when you die!
And ultimately your body dies, but your are immortal! So the question and answers is to no value in the grand scheme of thing...

I would like to know, because it could become some sort of motivation for me, to succeed in life, before my death day.

Hmm... I don't think I would for fear of disapointment. Not so much being afraid of it, but just it not being what I would have it be.. as weird as that may sound lol.

I would want to know. I've been dead three or four times now, and have no fear of it at all. It was warm and dark, floating in bliss and a level of peace I have not know before or since. I welcome that day again when it comes with open arms. A chance to break free of the daily suffering. But preferably when my sons are a bit older. They are 22 and 24, and I am loving watching them become the wonderful men they are. When that is done, then I am ready to go.

I honestly would not wish to know when my time was up. Not that I am afraid to die but I would dwell on it too much.
