I have been asked on a few occasions on how one can help Darkness Embraced prosper and grow. Most of you immediately think in terms of monetary contributions. While donations are always highly appreciated and do greatly assist with the costs and upkeep, there are other things that you can do to help our community that are just as vital and important.

Spread the word. If you have a site of your own, a myspace account, or even a yahoo profile, you can help Darkness Embraced by simply placing a link to our community via these accounts. If you are on another forum and find a question that we have discussed or have written an article about, provide them with a link to the topic of information on our site. If you use any kind of social bookmarks such as Delicious, Digg, etc, be sure to add Darkness Embraced to it. If you like images, I have a plethora of banners and buttons that you can add to your site. All you have to do is copy and paste the code provided. You can find all of the banners here.

Make our community Interesting by contributing your thoughts, feelings, and questions to our forums. Submit an article on something you have had experience with. Help others with their questions and offer suggestions.

Vote daily (hourly depending on some lists) for our community on these top site lists.

Finally, be kind and respectful to your fellow members. This is something that we can all do to help our community grow. People will find that they love being at Darkness Embraced because of the atmosphere that it provides. But if we don’t follow this golden rule, then we will find that many will leave and find somewhere else to hang their cape. No one likes to be treated rudely or unfairly.

After being a member for a couple of months now I can clearly see your point. The atmosphere and feeling I get here is always at times welcoming and warm, even though my heart is cold. The more people that visit, the more our community will grow and hopefully we will attract those with the beauty and intelligence to add to ourselves. In the meantime, I will try get some more word out wherever I come across.

     I would like to add that I can't get enough of this place. I love it here. The atmosphere is great and the people are like family. I don't mean that I would invite ya'll for Thanksgiving, but you/we give the same type of support as a family should.


I like how Larae didn't just say to spread the word, but she made it known that this is a free place to discuss our thoughts on a myriad of subjects and general feelings about things. I think that would do the best to help keep DE lively. Everybody keep posting so that we will always have good conversation.

Outside of DE I have only met one other Vamp (that I know of.) This gives me a place to interact and share thoughts and hypotheses with like-minded people. I guess what I am saying is this is place that we can talk about more than just vampirism and the occult. Tell about your daily lives, ask questions about problems at work, share news about your new vehicle or a present someone got you. Inform others about your hobbies and help them if they have trouble with them.

I know that I am going to try and work up the nerve to write up an article and submit it for Sanguine Vampires.
