General VampirismAre vampires mortal humans? In short, the answer to that is absolutely! The only individuals that would even imagine any separation of a real vampire and a mortal human are those who are incredibly obtuse, have an over driven ego, or completely fell off the ledge into la-la land within the realm of white wolf. In some instances, it could be a combination of all three.

If you are keeping company with someone of this nature, it’s in your best interest to abandon their company as quickly as possible and keep your distance from them indefinitely. Someone who exhibits such behavior isn’t stable and there is nothing beneficial that could derive from such a person, group or website. I encourage you to research the results of such relationships; one most prominent and appropriate for this topic would be the tragic incident that happened with Heather Wendorf

Vampirism is an energy deficiency, a condition if left unattended, impairs the energy level of the metaphysical/spiritual body which in turn, affects our physical, spiritual and emotional state of health. There are many theories behind the vampire condition and its original cause; however, even with all these theories on the table, it is still one of those things that remain some what of a mystery.

The one thing that is for certain is that we are definitely of mind, body and spirit, just like you. We are living, breathing beings that fill our lungs with air, require sleep, liquid hydration (H2O), and frequent trips to the grocery store to stock up on provisions like Doritos, pizza, ice cream, Twinkies, ho-ho’s coffee, milk, bread, eggs, etc. Ok, maybe these things are not considered nutritious on the list of a dietician, but we are not discussing nutritional value, right? Anyways, I think you get the point of what I am trying to get across.

After reading my last statement, you are probably thinking, “So, if that is the case, what makes a vampire different from anyone else?”  The first thing is to completely erase what you know of the literal term “vampire” from your mind. Completely let go of the visions of reanimated corpses who rise from the grave to feed upon the life force of the living by night. Forget about Lestat and Akasha , their immortality and powerful allure. Now, place this description of a vampire into your mind instead: Vampire: A living human being that requires more energy than the average person in order to sustain physical and spiritual good health, as a result, the individual is required to feed upon outsourced energy in order to be at the same level as an average human being.

There, my dear reader, lies the difference.  Vampire is a term that we have borrowed to describe what we are, not in the literal sense but in a metaphorical sense. Due to our inability to maintain the same energy level of an average person, we must supplement our selves by drawing it in from outside sources in the form of blood or by psychic energy. When I say psychic energy, this is energy that is produced by other living matter in the form of direct, ambient, elemental, and emotional energy. You can not see it with the naked eye, unless you are trained to see it, but it’s there. Think of it like oxygen, you can’t see it, taste it, or touch it, but it’s there. Because of our inept levels, many of us have learned that we are naturally inclined with the ability to manipulate, harness, and feed from out sourced energy. I believe it’s all part of our built in mechanism for survival. This energy is also known as chi, prana, or life-force. Because we mimic the same type of need of the literal vampire in a metaphorical sense, “vampire” seemed to be the most logical and fitting term that we could apply to our condition to describe what we are.

Immortality is not part of the equation, nor are we gifted with any supernatural "powers". Anyone who states other wise is in dire need of having their grey matter examined or they like telling tall tales for the thrill of it.
