Embracing shadows

The shadow life, what does this mean to us as vampyres, do we live a shadow life? A place where no one can touch us. A place where only we can be alone with ourselves? A place where we go around others so to speak. Do we as vampyres let others see our shadow? Why must we embrace this shadow, what drives us to seek where no others thread or even think.

A secret, that is how I look upon the subject.

I might first suggest you place a basic definition of what you mean by shadow/shadow life. Are you talking about the Jungian Shadow? Are you using it as a metaphor for being the sort of anti normal person? Do you mean it to be that aspect of ourselves that we do not speak or address publicly?

If you are speaking from the Jungian concept of Shadow, yes, we do have a Shadow life, but then so do all people. These hidden aspects of the psyche must be addresses as they can seriously impact our routine life when they become forceful enough to take over and come out to play with those around you.

If you are speaking in terms of the vampyre as our hidden side, then, yes, we do have a hidden life in a way that not many people have. Do we share this? Well, I generally do not. It would have an extremely unpleasant impact on my life.

In either case (Jungian or a hidden side of ourselves), I do believe that embracing, coming to terms with, and actively working with it is important.
