Vampiric Nites

New postby Antarctica » Wed Oct 28, 2009 7:19 pm

When the night comes and that sun goes down, I feel relieved, now I do not what to get into fantasy here, but I love the night and all it brings, the stillness, the silence late at night and with the creatures that embrace it with their harmony tomes. It is as if a new day as begun, society is coming to a close,"thank what ever god" and I can go on with my normal life, normal to me. This is a time I feel when I am in harmony with myself, others and this world, am I alone in this embraced?

The night is far more calmer it seems, but not always, I do agree to this.

Sometimes the night brings thoughts to mind that you place back during the light. Those thoughts are more like bodiless demons that seem to be at their highest power, over taking you and torment you until light returns.

You're not alone at all, it can be extremely calming. I find I'm most at ease outside on Full moons, for some reason. It's always nice to look up and admire it, I generally get this feeling that washes over me when I do. Though being outside at night in general has always made me feel better, but maybe that's just me.

I have always lived for the night. Yes, I enjoy a day of sunshine, but it is the night that makes me feel alive. It is at night that I feel the Goddess the most. Her presence envelops me with a sense of being, love and the magic of the night.
Here lies the hoarded love the key
To All the treasure that shall be
Come fated heart the gift to take
And smite the sleeping world awake. (William Morris)

I always loved the night but to be honest it could be because I conditioned myself due to my sun-allergy. Nights are usually much calmer though unless there is a full moon; the energy feels nervous and oppressive at those nights and I don't think it's a coincidence that many myths surround the full moon.

I think many of us that happen to fall under the rubric of vampyre tend to to be night people. I have always been a late nighter, late riser type (until my son was born. He kind of messed my natural rhythm all up). Being a bit of an insomniac also tends to make me appreciate the night life.

I have never been a Sun worshipper (love that easily burned skin and familial history of skin cancer) and I have been something of a light astronomy hobbiest. So, all in all, the night speaks quite warmly to me.

I agree I have always found the night a peaceful and relaxing time. I often take walks during the night to help clear my mind and organize my thoughts. I find the night is the most beautiful time of the day as well and enjoy looking up into the sky and thinking about life's mysteries. But thats just my opinion. I also tend to be more active at night and less sluggish than I am during the day

I feel the same way it started up a couple of years ago. I can't sleep at all during the night but can sleep just fine during the day. I also feel more at peace when the sun goes down. I feel as if the night calls me when I go out side but sadly I can not go I have to get at least a little sleep.

Blessed Be,

I am a night owl. I like the stillness and calming effect the night has on me. I really love nights were there is a full moon. It seems the moon has an effect on me, I like staring at it, it's almost hypnotic.
