How are you spending your Halloween in 2009?
Grab your coffee, tea and come sit back, relax and enjoy general topics of conversation.Re: How are you spending your Halloween in 2009?

Sometime around then my friend hopes to hold a costume party. Otherwise I am stuck giving out candy to the trick-or-treaters while I camp myself on the stairs since I won't want to continually go up and down them otherwise.

Now that just isn't right. Maybe you could at least get in costume and spook the new neighbors while you are moving in!

I might consider fasting on Halloween; I been fasting weekly on juices to try to purify myself and as a self-imposed spiritual practice. Though on top of that, I will also be taking care of family's house while they are gone. So, rats and dogs will be keeping me company that night.
I will have to buy candy just in case children come by.

On Thursday night I took my wee lad trick or treating. He dressed up as Batman. And I dressed up as the Snow Queen. I got my costume completed just in time. LOL
He had a really good time and got lots of treats at trick or treating.
As for tonight I was going to take him back out weather depending, however, it has started to rain and it is cold and damp out too. So it looks like instead of going out we will have a nice evening to cuddle and watch a few movies. Hopefully too we can do our Samhain Blessing.
And for tomorrow I have a nice New Years dinner planned. And hopefully it will be nicer out so we can go haunted golfing. (The local miniature golf course has a special till Nov. 2nd for a haunted golf course.)And my wee lad loves to golf so hopefully all will work out.
Happy Halloween/Samhain. May your New Year be blessed with lots of Love, Light, Laughter, Prosperity and Good Health. Many, Many Blessings too!!!
Blessings to All,
BriarRose

Well, my son had his first ever trick or treat session. Wow, it was a blast watching him figure out the process of going up to a strange home, saying a few “magic” words and presto! Candy falls into his bag. It was real magic for him. Seeing something like that is such an eye opening experience. Bah to those who say magic doesn’t exist. I saw it every time he walked to a door.
He had a great time dressing up as a dragon. I escorted him around in full grim reaper regalia, rusted old farming sickle included. It rained part way through, but we trudged on regardless, the little four year old will winning the evening.
All in all, one of my more memorable days!

I fasted, and then the parents decided they were not going on their camping trip so we all ended up watching movies. Funny enough, when everyone watched Transformers II, we had two Optimus Primes come up to the door. Most people like to indulge on Halloween and I considered it a time to fast and not only cleanse my system, but also provide the fast as an offering to Devi on Saturday (Saturday and Tuesday are considered "special days" for Kali).
