An unknown creature terrifies two kids in a Virginia cornfield - In the mid-1960s, a mysterious creature that became known as Mothman frightened residents around Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Described as having large red eyes and enormous, silent wings, the creature has become legend in the area, and sightings are claimed to this very day. In the summer of 2005, Matt and his stepsister encountered something unknown, and they wonder if it was the Mothman monster. This is Matt’s story:

Burnt Toast or Residue

This type of phenomenon usually occurs in a pattern. For example,let's say that every night at 11pm, you hear something walking up and down stairs for ten minutes and stop, when there is nothing there. Another good example would be at the same time every year, a ghostly figure of a person repeats the same scene whether it be the person's death, or an event that caused mass amounts of emotion.

I have often wondered how to become closer to the nature of the vampire. Most of us here consider ourselves vampires, but what does that really mean? We read the stories in modern literature from Bram Stoker to Brian Lumley to Anne rice as well as watch the movies. We marvel and are touched by what they represent and we wonder. Are we like them? What does it truly mean to call ourselves vampire?
